Version in force from 04/10/2026. These terms and conditions apply to all orders placed on the website www.michelamezzetti.com. In the event of any discrepancy between the Italian text and this English translation, the Italian text prevails.

1. Who is selling

The products are sold by MEZZETTI MICHELA, a sole proprietorship owning the «Michela Mezzetti» brand, Via San Giovanni 31, 53037 San Gimignano (SI), Italy, VAT no. IT01258300522, registered with the Arezzo-Siena Companies Register, REA SI-133280, e-mail hello@michelamezzetti.com, telephone +39 392 789 6648 (the «Seller»).

2. Who they apply to

These terms govern all contracts concluded through the website and apply in full where the buyer is a consumer, i.e. a natural person acting for purposes outside his or her trade, business or profession (Art. 3 of Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005, the «Consumer Code»). Sections 9 and 10 (right of withdrawal and statutory warranty) do not apply to purchases made by businesses or professionals for the purposes of their activity; supplies to the brand’s retailers are governed by separate agreements. By placing an order the buyer accepts these terms, which can be saved and printed and are sent with the order confirmation.

3. The products

The products on sale are cosmetics within the meaning of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 — eau de parfum and body care products under the Michela Mezzetti brand — delivered in their original packaging, sealed with a protective shrink-wrap film that guarantees their integrity until opened. For each product the product page states the name, type, nominal content, olfactory notes or function, precautions for use, period after opening and list of ingredients (INCI). Images are for illustrative purposes: slight differences in the colour of the packaging do not constitute a lack of conformity.

4. Prices and promotions

Prices are in euro, VAT included. Shipping costs and any other charges are shown in the cart and at checkout before the order is placed and summarised in the confirmation: costs not communicated before the order are not due. The price shown at the time of the order applies to the contract. Price reduction announcements indicate the lowest price applied in the previous thirty days. Promotions and discount codes are valid under the conditions published at the time of the order, cannot be combined unless otherwise stated and cannot be converted into cash.

5. How an order is concluded

Choose your products, check the summary (products, price, delivery costs, total), correct any errors and confirm with the button indicating the obligation to pay, after reading these terms, the privacy notice and the information on the right of withdrawal. The contract is concluded when you receive the order confirmation by e-mail. The Seller may decline an order — notifying you within five working days and refunding any amount paid — if the product is unavailable, if the anti-fraud service reports anomalies or if the data provided are manifestly incorrect.

6. Payments

We accept, with the charge made at the time of the order: Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Maestro credit, debit and prepaid cards, through Wix Payments; Apple Pay and Google Pay, on compatible devices and browsers; Klarna, instalment or deferred payment under the terms of Klarna Bank AB (publ) and subject to its approval: the financing relationship is exclusively between you and Klarna. Payment data are processed directly by the chosen provider: the Seller neither receives nor stores full card data. Transactions may be subject to the provider’s automated anti-fraud checks; if a payment is declined you may use another method or contact us. If you require an invoice, please state this in the order notes together with the necessary details.

7. Shipping and delivery

We ship from San Gimignano with DHL and FedEx to the destinations selectable at checkout. Shipping costs: Italy €9.00, free for orders of €60.00 or more; European Union, United Kingdom and Switzerland €29.00, free from €300.00; other non-EU countries €75.00, free from €600.00. Indicative delivery times from handover to the courier: Italy 1-2 working days; European Union, United Kingdom and Switzerland 3-4 working days; other countries 3-10 working days. Orders are handed over to the courier within 2-3 working days of the order; in any event we deliver within thirty days of the conclusion of the contract (Art. 61 of the Consumer Code): in case of delay you may grant us an additional period and, if it is not met, terminate the contract with a full refund. The tracking number is sent by e-mail. The risk of loss or damage passes to you only upon physical delivery to you or to a third party designated by you other than the courier. On delivery, check that the parcel is intact and report any visible damage to the courier by accepting with reservation; notify us within seven days. Perfumes contain flammable liquids: some destinations or means of transport may be subject to restrictions; if an order cannot be shipped to the chosen destination we will inform you before shipping and refund you in full.

8. Shipping outside the European Union and customs

For shipments to countries outside the European Union, including the United Kingdom and Switzerland, import duties, taxes and charges applied by the authorities of the destination country may be due; they are not included in the price or in the shipping costs and are payable by the buyer; the amount depends on local legislation and cannot be determined in advance. If delivery is refused because customs charges are not paid, we refund the price of the products net of shipping costs and of the return costs charged by the carrier.

9. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer you may withdraw from the contract, without giving any reason and without penalty, within fourteen days of the day on which you, or a third party designated by you other than the courier, receive the products (the last product, in the case of separate deliveries). Simply send, within that period, an unequivocal statement to hello@michelamezzetti.com or by post to Via San Giovanni 31, 53037 San Gimignano (SI), Italy, if you wish using the withdrawal form at the bottom of this page; we will confirm receipt by e-mail. Return the products to the same address within fourteen days of your notice, intact, with the shrink-wrap film unbroken, together with any accessories and packaging; the direct cost of returning the products is borne by you and we recommend a tracked shipment with packaging suitable for liquids. We will refund all payments received, including standard delivery costs, within fourteen days of being informed of your withdrawal, using the same means of payment used for the purchase and at no cost to you (in the case of instalment payments, through the service provider); we may withhold the refund until we have received the products or proof that they have been sent. We do not refund the additional costs of a delivery method other than the standard one and, in the case of partial withdrawal, delivery costs already paid are not refunded where they would have been due for the retained products alone. You are liable only for any diminished value of the products resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning: opening the parcel, looking at the packaging and reading the label is permitted.

Sealed products. Pursuant to Article 59(1)(e) of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and which have been unsealed after delivery. All our products are delivered wrapped in a protective shrink-wrap film: removing it, even partially, amounts to opening the product, regardless of use. Withdrawal is excluded because an opened cosmetic cannot be reconditioned or resealed: we cannot guarantee its integrity and hygienic safety for another customer, and the product cannot be put back on sale. Withdrawal remains possible for products with the film intact, even if the outer packaging has been opened, and the statutory warranty for defective products always remains valid. The Court of Justice of the European Union (judgment of 27 March 2019, Case C-681/17) interprets this exclusion restrictively, limiting it to goods which, once the seal is removed, are no longer saleable for hygiene or health reasons: this is the case for opened perfumes and cosmetics. Withdrawal is also excluded for personalised products.

10. Statutory warranty

We are liable for any lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery which becomes apparent within two years (Articles 128 to 135-septies of the Consumer Code); a lack of conformity which becomes apparent within one year is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery; the action is time-barred twenty-six months after delivery. In the event of a defect you are entitled, free of charge, to a replacement or, under the conditions laid down by law, to a price reduction or termination of the contract. For cosmetics, a defect includes alteration of the product within the stated minimum durability or period after opening, if stored in accordance with the precautions; normal differences in olfactory perception and the natural change in colour over time are not defects. To report a defect write to hello@michelamezzetti.com with your order number and, if possible, photographs. The statutory warranty applies to consumers.

11. Complaints and dispute resolution

For complaints and assistance write to hello@michelamezzetti.com or call +39 392 789 6648; we reply within 5 working days. If the complaint is not resolved you may use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedure by contacting one of the bodies listed by the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (www.mimit.gov.it), including the joint conciliation procedures of the retail sector; the Seller is not a member of any ADR body and assesses in good faith any settlement proposal. Your right to bring court proceedings remains unaffected.

12. Reviews

Published reviews, and the related average rating, come from customers who purchased the product on this website: the system accepts reviews only through the invitation sent by e-mail after the purchase. We do not publish paid or incentivised reviews, we do not edit the content of reviews and we remove only those that are unlawful, offensive or unrelated to the product; negative reviews are not suppressed. Authors may request the removal of their own review at any time.

13. Applicable law and jurisdiction

The contract is governed by Italian law; for consumers resident in another EU Member State, the more favourable mandatory provisions of their country of residence remain applicable. Disputes with a consumer fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the court of the place where the consumer resides or is domiciled, if in Italy (Art. 66-bis of the Consumer Code); for purchases by businesses or professionals the Court of Siena has jurisdiction.

14. Personal data

The buyer’s data are processed by the Seller for the performance of the order and related obligations in accordance with the Privacy notice published on the website.

15. Amendments and storage

The Seller may amend these terms; each order is governed by the version published at the time the order is placed, which is sent with the confirmation. The contract is stored for the period required by law and the buyer may request a copy. The invalidity of one clause does not affect the others.
